Dr. D. Byron Kelley was excited to set up his dental practice and raise his family in a small town where the people are friendly, the traffic is light and the hunting and fishing plentiful. Born in Ogden, Utah he attended school in Ogden; Alexandrea,Virginia; Roy, Utah and graduated from Hillcrest High in Salt Lake City, Utah. He served with the army 19th Special Forces. Byron did his undergraduate study at the University of Utah and graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1976. While at dental school, he was selected to participate and train in the colleges rural dentistry program.
Kelley Family Dentistry was founded in 1976 when Byron and his wife LuAnn moved their family to Preston. They raised 7 children in Preston and currently have 26 grandchildren.
Through dental school and into his practice, Dr. Byron has always been on the cutting edge of new technology and techniques taking every opportunity to keep himself and the office up to date. Byron has served as president of and has been a long standing member of the South East Idaho Dental Society as well as the American Dental Association.
Byron has served in many community positions, including President of the Rotary club and Preston Chamber of Commerce President. He has also served in many church callings, his favorite being the 40 years he has spent with the scouting or young men programs. He loves everything the outdoors has to offer.
Byron and LuAnn have enjoyed the opportunities the dental field has given them in Preston and appreciate the years of community support.
